Sorry for the delay in posts, I've had a pretty productive winter intercession so far. My friend and I took a trip to our local bookstore to pick up some books at the start of the break. It's been forever since I had the time to do some leisurely reading and it feels good to read something that isn't a textbook, I set a goal on GoodReads and once the semester starts I hope to squeeze in at least one extra book a month. I'm currently reading Emma by Jane Austen.
Another friend taught me to knit this month! I'm obsessed with purchasing yarn now, and I have a few projects in mind. I began knitting a scarf from baby blanket yarn, it's coming along and seems super cozy!
In other news I'm on the lookout for some brands/Etsy shops etc. to possibly collaborate with, if anyone has anything in mind please leave a comment in the contact form in the sidebar.
And now for what has been promised, Here are my December favorites:
- Boye Aluminum Knitting Needles; My size 7 needles are my favorite. I have an obsession with rose gold/copper tones at the moment so I really love these. Eventually the color will rub off from use, but these are gorgeous. I even got a basket to match, and hold all my yarn.
- Lush Tea Tree Toner; This has made such a huge difference in my skincare routine, I make sure I never run out now.
- Bûche de Noël cleanser; I love the scent of this cleanser, it reminds me of Christmas. When my holiday shifts ended at Lush I made sure to pick up a container. This cleanser is super gentle, yet exfoliating honestly everything I could ever want in a cleanser.
- Santa Lip Scrub; another +Lush Cosmetics holiday exclusive, it tastes like cherry cola and leaves your lips feeling baby smooth, which I'm sure is something everyone wants in the winter months.
- Trader Joe's Nourish Moisturizer; I've been struggling to find other cruelty free skincare lines outside of Lush, which is disappointing since I'm such a strong believer in not testing on animals. I found this at my local Trader Joes and decided to give it a try. I found antioxidant-rich products have always been beneficial to my skin and for around $7 you can't go wrong.
What's your opinion?
